The Barbados Football Association (BFA) was founded in 1910
and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2010.
On Saturday, the BFA hosted the Concacaf Team Managers Workshop for national team managers, coaches, medical staff, and trainers at the BFA Technical Centre in Wildey.
Facilitated by Director of Concacaf Caribbean Office Horace Reid with guest speaker FIFA Member Associations Consultant Amiel Mohammed, the intensive one-day theoretical Workshop was designed to assist to build the capacity of local team managers in their preparation and management of Barbados’ national teams.
Topics covered included roles and responsibilities, best practice team management, sports integrity, preparing for competitions, pre- and post-match analysis, and contingency planning in the case of an emergency.
